A Hobo Author

Growing up in Minnesota, I hated reading. I never got it. After nearly failing out of college, I nearly left school to disappear, to tramp about the American West, to hone my talents as a writer. A couple of professors observed my impediments with reading and comprehending texts. After receiving assistance - learning how to learn in college - I rediscovered my path in education. Having spent the past thirty years as an accomplished middle school science teacher, my attention is returning to a love of writing. In recent years I have contributed poetry to a local magazine and now turn my attention to authoring SF novels and short stories. Collections of poetry may be in my future as well as some essays and humor. I do my best work on the road, visiting small towns, sitting in solitude upon some mountain outcrop, or reveling in the complex beauty of a forest. I take pride in being a hobo west of the Rockies. Maybe we'll meet somewhere along US101 or US395. I'll be the guy in a pub pulling an engineering notebook from Sven, my satchel, sipping on an old fashioned, and recording my soul with a fine pen. Feel free to say hi.
